But anyway watching Leslie make music is properly one of the DOPEST producing you could see Its amazing, he can play everything and you can clearly see how passionate he is about his work.
Recently, on a tour in Germany 2010 he was robbed and they stole his laptop and hardrive…the hard drive with all his music. ALL his work, gone;taken.
SO he offers an initial reward $20,000 to anyone who can return the laptop with “ALL THE DATA” on the laptop and hard drive…I saw the video and its pretty clear, I want ALL my music and you’ll get the reward money. So no one responds and he ups the reward to $1Million and this is understandable if you think about it, all his music I mean its worth a lot these are originals, so anyway someone responds….
Like…I understand the Law and yes the person, returned the backpack, laptop and hard drive that Leslie had lost but Leslie clearly stated he wanted all the Data on his Hard Drive and Laptop, why would he pay $1Million for just a laptop and a hard drive with nothing on it, but that’s the law and there you go a jury made him pay this guy $1Million for nothing.
I had previously listened his recent album Les is More without knowing this had happened to him, and it was only until I saw this video, I realized why it was named Les is More and why is somewhat lacked…no OFFENCE but this album is good but not amazin’ compared to how I know Leslie is, but from loosing all your music and inspiration the album is good enough.
Anyway I just wanted to share this, cause I thought it was crazy how the New York Post put him on the front cover like that and called him a “Rap Weasel”.
My theory on this is that in Germany 2010 a person/group stole his backpack and obv knows how much its worth, so keeps hush hush, when the reward was raised by Leslie they thought, lets find a way to get the money but still keep a hold of his music…lets remove the data and return it and pretend like we didn’t know it was removed.
Joke, in all seriousness I feel so bad for Leslie cause you can seriously tell how much music means to him. Sometimes It amazes me how society works, simple concept, he wants his music and he’ll pay to get him music back..
what do you guys think about this?
(excuse the ugly header graphic Ill make it doper later…its like 4am)
